Loading... POWERCHINA marks a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the 64.2 MW T&M Solar PV Project in the Philippines. The project aims to expand POWERCHINA's presence in the new energy market and contribute to green and low-carbon transformation.
Senior officers from POWERCHINA participated in the ceremony along with senior officials from the Philippines. Yang extended his congratulations on the groundbreaking of the project in his speech at the event.
Reports said the installation will eventually have 8 GW of solar power capacity, along with 4 GW of wind power, and 4 GW of coal-fired generation, in addition to energy storage. “The Kubuqi Base project is the world’s largest wind [and] photovoltaic base project developed and constructed in … desert areas,” CTG said in a statement.
JonvicRemulla, governor of Cavite province; and HermilandoMandanas, governor of Batangas province, also expressed the same hope that POWERCHINA will make full use of Chinese technologies and experiences to contribute to the development of green energy in the Philippines.

He said that with the abundant sunshine in the Philippines, the development of photovoltaic energy will not only alleviate the local electricity shortage and promote green and low-carbon transformation, but will also drive local employment.
