What is a breadboard power supply module?

A Breadboard Power Supply Moduleaccepts an input through a barrel jackfrom a battery, a 12V adapter or any other source, and provides to our circuit a 5V or 3.3V tension, depending on our needs. We’re going to soon introduce Arduino into our circuits, and all our Arduino circuits will work with those voltage levels.

Why do I need a power module?

The power module offers regulated output voltages, ensuring stable and consistent power delivery to the components in the circuit. By using a power module for certain high-current components, you isolate the current from the Arduino. This reduces the risk of interference and damage to the Arduino board.

How to charge & manage the battery?

In order to charge & manage the battery we will use TP4056 Battery Charger Module. We can also power this circuit using 9V/12V DC Adapter. The LM7805 Voltage regulator IC limits the voltage to 5V only. If you don’t want to power the circuit using Battery, you can use the DC Power Adapter or 9V Battery. You may check the 5V 3A USB Charger circuit.

Can batteries be used as external power supply?

Yes! The solution is very simple, but you need to take care to not doing anything wrong. So, our solution is using Batteries as external power supply! Some external power supply examples images:

How to charge a battery with a drooping power supply?

The most appropriate method for charging batteries among them is with a power supply that has constant current voltage drooping type characteristics (Far Left) where a constant current range is used for charging batteries with a constant current. The other two characteristics should not be used to charge batteries.

What is a switching power supply?

This is a charging method where batteries are charged with a constant current from beginning to end. A standard switching power supply is a constant voltage power supply, so it monitors fluctuations in output voltages, inputs the results in the control circuit, and executes constant voltage controlling also known as feedback controlling.
