Battery preconditioning causes the battery heating system to activate when a charging station is entered into the built-in navigation so that the car arrives at the charger with a warm battery capable of much faster charging than without preconditioning.
Lab tests - display, battery life, charging speed, speakers The nubia Z70 Ultra gets a new display with a minor increase in diagonal and a bump in maximum refresh rate. The company's ongoing under-display camera efforts mean that in most applications you won't see a punch hole, which isn't all too common of a feat and a pretty welcome sight indeed.
The nubia's speaker system is a fairly classic hybrid arrangement with one bottom-firing unit and another one above the display that's also an earpiece. The phone maintains strict channel separation (unlike others that send the opposite channel's track to each speaker at a lower level) and will adjust the channels based on its orientation in space.
To confirm it's entered correctly in the database, the charger in the POI search results must say "DC" or "DC+". You'll also see a heating coil icon on the battery symbol and a message regarding preconditioning when you're about 30 minutes from arriving at the DCFC.
In winter in colder climates, this can mean that charging is far slower than 18 minutes from 10-80%. To fix that, Kia started shipping 2022 EV6s built sometime in June or later with a "Battery Conditioning Mode", which replaces "Winter Mode" (see next point).
Nubia quotes 2000nits of peak brightness, but as is normally the case, our measurements show a slightly different picture. In our testing, we got a little under 1,400nits in auto brightness mode - not something extraordinary, but a very good result nonetheless.
