The province of Noord-Brabant is bringing back large-scale solar industry to the Netherlands. Goal: a 2 GW factory by 2027-2028 with new solar technologies.
A large consortium of Dutch solar companies aims a leading position in the solar industry in Europe. The companies joint forces in SolarNL. The aim is to build several plants in a few years, building on ambitious innovation programmes. In doing so, the companies are working closely with research organisations.
Lightweight circular PV products that can be integrated into buildings or vehicles. These are alternative PV markets with a strong growth potential as they unlock newly accessible surfaces for installation of PV. The cells and laminates of the other programme lines will be used here for advanced integration purposes.
